Would you like to spend a Fall or a Spring semester earning full-time academic credit while working in Washington, D.C., for the United States Congress, the National Park Service, the Smithsonian Institution, or C-SPAN?

Rutgers-Camden recently became a partner of The Washington Center, a relationship that recognizes our leadership in civic engagement and provides scholarships to help fund selected Rutgers-Camden students to participate in this comprehensive internship program.

Students who are accepted into the program are eligible for scholarships that will enable them to live in Washington for an academic semester and enroll in an academic program of 12-15 credits. The program consists of evening classes in over 25 subject areas, a colloquium series, and an internship placement among more than 100 distinguished institutions in Washington.  Students in all undergraduate majors and schools are invited to apply.

The priority application deadline for Spring 2017 internships is October 12, 2016.  An information session will be held early in the Fall semester.

Contact Dr. Tyler Hoffman, the campus liaison to The Washington Center, if you have any questions.
