On November 26th, from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM, the College Democrats are hosting an Advocacy Workshop to promote political engagement. For this event, we will be inviting guest speakers involved in advocacy to speak to students about how to be better advocates. Following the presentations from our speakers, we will be having a contest to see which students can create the best plan to address an issue in the community. We will be partnering with other organizations and offices on campus which center around advocacy, such as the Office of Civic Engagement, so this will be a non-partisan event. We believe this would be a great event for students of all backgrounds and beliefs to engage with issues they are passionate about.
