Have you heard the term “fellowships” but wondered, wait, what exactly is a fellowship? Or maybe you know these are fully funded award opportunities (hint, that’s the answer to the above!) but you’re wondering what the process to apply looks like, how difficult it might be to earn a fellowship, and what the benefits of a fellowship program are. All of these are excellent questions, and things we’ll address during this session.
Join Assistant Dean Laura Collins, Director of the Office of Scholar Development & Fellowship Advising, on Wednesday October 19 during the Free Period (11:20-12:20) in South BC when she will share TONS of opportunities that RUC students have previously applied for, won, and that YOU, too, can seek!! More importantly, during this special Public Service Awards edition of “All About Fellowships,” we will hear from your peers about their experiences applying for and earning awards to fund their experiences, and they’ll tell you why you can do it too!
The Office of Scholar Development and Fellowship Advising helps Rutgers University–Camden students & alumni to identify and apply for prestigious awards and national fellowships. Under the guidance of the office director and faculty mentors, students will seek acceptance to nationally recognized fellowship programs that fund graduate training, public service internships, laboratory and field research, study abroad experiences, and professional opportunities.
