The “Bars to Books: In cooperation with National Day of Empathy” is a Panel Discussion on Resilience and Achievement in Education. National Day of Empathy is a collaborative effort with #cut50. #DayOfEmpathy is a national day of action to generate empathy on a massive scale for millions of Americans impacted by the criminal justice system. In addition, #cut50 is a national bipartisan initiative to safely and smartly reduce our incarcerated population by 50 percent over the next 10 years. The Dream Corps brings people together to solve America’s toughest problems. The Day of Empathy shines a light on people impacted by the criminal justice system to uplift their voices, and win over hearts and minds towards the idea that transformation is possible.
