The purpose of the cultural healing collective is to begin the process of healing in the community so that we can continue global social justice work. This dialogue is a space for POC members of the RUC community to safely process feelings regarding injustice. “Healing Justice” is a term coined by Cara Page, which identifies how we can holistically respond to and intervene in generational trauma and violence and bring in collective practices that can heal and transform the consequences of oppression on our bodies, hearts, and minds. Dr. Keith Green, Director of Africana Studies and Associate Professor in English and Ms. Tiara Neal MSW. M.Div, Program Coordinator with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will facilitate open-hearted and honest conversations on ways to offer discuss injustice and healing within communities of color.
