Join us for a discussion of the history of African-American children’s literature led by Nyeema Watson, associate chancellor of civic engagement. Watson earned her doctorate in childhood studies and her research focused on images and representations of African-American children, especially in children’s literature. Sponsored by the Africana Studies program, the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of Civic Engagement, and the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts.
