This campus activity is for students who have signed up to join the Honors College on Sunday, October 20th for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. Students must have signed up by Friday, October 11 to make a t-shirt.
Here’s how to participate in our team walk & t-shirt party:
- Join our team: Visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/RutgersCamdenHonorsCollege2019 to join our team. We encourage everyone to make a small donation as part of your sign-up, whatever feels comfortable to you. Share the information with family & friends – they are welcome to walk with us and to fundraise on behalf of our team!
- Sign-up here: In addition to joining on the official American Cancer Society site, we ask all HC students to “register” themselves here: https://tinyurl.com/HCBCWalk2019 This page allows us to collect additional information and communicate with you all more easily. It is important you are “signed up” in both locations.
- Finally, plan to join us for a t-shirt making party! This year, we’ll provide important day-of information for the service event while also hand-crafting team t-shirts! There are two opportunities to join:
Monday, October 14th – 11:20am (Free Period) OR Tuesday, October 15th – 12:45pm (Free Period); both events will take place in the Honors College, Room 203. You must sign-up before October 11 to guarantee your t-shirt for this event. Non-Honors students are welcome to join our team / attend this event, but will be asked to pay a $2.50 fee to cover the cost of t-shirts.
Please note that ONLY our team walk is permitted as an approved service event for Fall 2019 engagement; participating at other locations may not be counted for HC Engagement purposes.
