April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and in effort to engage the students and the community in an event that brings awareness to the prevalence of the interpersonal violence, the Community Ambassadors and the VPVA will provide a space for fun, where important information regarding interpersonal violence and prevention, and where important resources related to serving those affected by interpersonal violence will be available to the attendees.
The Community Ambassadors serve as a liaisons between off-campus and on-campus resources for health, victim assistance and violence prevention. The Community Ambassadors will bridge the divide between permanent residents and student residents in the Cooper Grant neighborhood, creating safe, more inclusive community by working with the VPVA and you.
During the event, we will have tables where organizations and offices will present resources in order for those attending to gain more insight on what services are provided to them and hopefully learn something new!
