
The Digital Studies Center is hosting four Well Played sessions this semester. Well-Played focuses on the close reading of video game mechanics and narratives. It involves students and faculty playing a game followed by a free form discussion.
The Rutgers Camden Smash Club presents a Well Played Session on eSports, it’s recent rise in exposure, and the role of Super Smash Bros in its continued popularity. The session will make comparisons between eSports organizations and physical sports institutions and highlight differences among different games’ competitive communities. Discussions will also include the nature of eSports and the community of Smash.
Well Played sessions will be held during free period in the Digital Commons, food will be provided.
