
Anna Betteridge (they/them) is a queer and non-binary multidisciplinary artist, currently residing in their hometown of Philadelphia PA. Anna is an actor, dancer, choreographer, director, filmmaker, teaching artist, and visual artist. They graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts (Musical Theatre) and an Honor for Excellence in Physical Theatre from Long Island University. Anna is proud to have directed and presented That Art Thou at the AITU World Congress (2016, Manizales, Colombia). Directing & Choreography credits include: The World Goes Round (2020, LIU Post) and The Space We Take Up(2019, No Frills Theatre Collective). Anna is a self-taught filmmaker, using the camera to bring their movement narratives to life in a new way. Their short films include: The State of Our Union (2019), Contagio(us) (2020, dir. Melissa Bianchi), and Wilting (2021). As a performer, Anna has been seen on at stage in DANTE: Queen of the Inferno (2019, Philly Pack), Of A Feather (2021, Philly Fringe), Medea (2022, Humble Materials) and The Loneliness Project (2022, Earliebird Productions). Anna is the assistant director, a proud teaching artist and resident muralist for Philly PACK, where they teach Musical Theatre and Contemporary Dance. Anna is passionate about collaborative, movement based art that encourages conversation. They are dedicated to creating safe spaces for students and fellow artists that are inclusive of all identities.
