Honors Event: All About Fellowships

When

October 21, 2021
12:45 pm-1:45 pm

Event Type

Join Assistant Dean Laura Collins, Director of the Office of Scholar Development & Fellowship Advising, for an info session all about fellowships. Many of our students likely have a number of questions about fellowships, including what exactly is a fellowship, what does the process to apply look like, how difficult is it to earn a fellowship, and what are the benefits of a fellowship program? All of these are excellent questions, and things we’ll address during our session. We will be joined by current students, each of whom has applied for various awards / programs – some of whom have had success & some who have not “won” – but all of whom have learned valuable lessons during the process that they hope to share with you.

The Office of Scholar Development and Fellowship Advising helps Rutgers University–Camden students & alumni to identify and apply for prestigious awards and national fellowships. Under the guidance of the office director and faculty mentors, students will seek acceptance to nationally recognized fellowship programs that fund graduate training, public service internships, laboratory and field research, study abroad experiences, and professional opportunities.
