Caring for Camden is a new student organization whose goal is to connect students to be able to help the underserved and impoverished population in Camden. For our first GBM, we plan to have the presence of Dr. Stephen Danley, and Sis. Anetha Perry, who together will speak on the historical and economic roots of Camden, and how our organization can help impact it in a positive way. We also want to introduce our group, Caring for Camden, and our goals as well.
To do this, our first plan is to gain donations in order to produce hygienic kits to hand out to distribute. The contents of these hygienic kits will include the following: toothpaste, toothbrushes, socks, etc. St. Pauls is a local church that gives food out for the people in need, and during these times. As an organization, we plan to provide those hygienic kits for people who attend St. Paul’s to accept as well.
This Honors Event will occur at 319 Cooper Street on the 2nd Floor in the student lounge.
