Honors Event: JUMPStart Info Session

When

January 30, 2017
12:15 pm-1:10 pm

Event Type

In recognition of National Mentoring Month (January), join us for an information session about Jumpstart, a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students and community volunteers to work with preschool children in low-income neighborhoods. Through a proven curriculum, these children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for school, setting them on a path to close the achievement gap before it is too late.

During our event, you will learn more about our local Jumpstart from Senior Site Manager, Dania Reid, followed by a Q&A panel featuring past & current Jumpstart participants, concluding with details about the application. Jumpstart is an approved campus commitment (in place of 3 campus activities) each semester students are active. This is an Honors Event for Spring 2017. #honorsapproved
