Join the Honors College as we invite Maya Richmond, Executive Director of the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees, NJ, for a discussion about the changing nature of animal welfare and animal rescue over the 70 years since the AWA’s inception. She will also discuss the AWA’s mission, which focuses on advocating for and sheltering animals and educating the community on animal rights and care, as well as the current status of animal neglect issues in Camden County.

After the discussion, students will have an opportunity to send postcards to their representatives regarding animal welfare issues impacting South Jersey.

Lunch will be served.
