You may know Dr. Walker from his Honors Seminar courses. In fact, the inspiration for this event was born from his teaching in the Spring 2020, as COVID turned all our worlds upside down. Join us on Thursday, Sept 17th (12:45-1:45) for a session where we can all learn how to better approach uncertainty.
From Dr. Walker: “Human flourishing, well-being, and contentment are not mere fleeting experiences that happen to the lucky. They are virtues, practices, and decisions that can be cultivated throughout our days. Research shows that resiliency can be experienced in spite of feelings of isolation, adversity, trauma, and loss. This does not excuse preventable suffering. It does, however, help explain something about the human condition. Resiliency is our true nature. In this extracurricular program, we will explore evidence-based strategies for reducing stress and facing ambiguity with maturity.”
