Quest: A Portrait of an American Family

This beautiful documentary has something for everyone. It has been winning awards all over the country, and was featured at Sundance. It’s a story about a family in North Philly, and spirals into a gut-wrenching and touching film that explores poverty, tragedy, hope, failure, gun violence, health, gender issues, and so much more. It’s both powerful and soft. There is no clear message or answer presented to these complex problems; the film is more like a door into a dialogue… a dialogue we so desperately need to be having with each other.
The filmmaker and some members of the Rainey family will be on hand for a Q/A after the film.
