Saturday, May 6th from 9am-12pm
The New Jersey Tree Foundation is seeking to plant 90 trees at the new Cooper’s Poynt Waterfront Park (at the old waterfront prison site).
Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 9am, though you can come as early as 8:15 am to help set up for the event. Plantings are typically finished by noon. The event will be held rain or shine, so please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and wear clothes you can get dirty. Tools, gloves, water, and planting instructions are provided by the NJ Tree Foundation staff.
The Honors College will not be providing transportation for this event, so interested students must drive themselves or walk from campus (enter at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Elm Street).
