Volunteer with Camden City partner, Cathedral Kitchen.
Cathedral Kitchen serves an average of 325 guests each day, six days a week. Your service contribution helps make it possible to serve members of our host community. There are 10 dates for the Spring 2020 semester to volunteer with this city partner. There are 5 spots available each shift (total of 50 opportunities this semester!). All volunteer shifts are from 2:30-5:15pm, on various weekdays throughout the semester.
All students are asked to sign up on our google spreadsheet here https://tinyurl.com/CKSP2020 AND confirm your shift here http://vhub.at/rutgersuhonors. From this site, you’ll be asked to create an account (it took us less than 5 minutes) and there you can sign up for our available dates (same as those listed on our website). Signing up in BOTH places is required!
For your shift:
o Please plan to arrive to Cathedral Kitchen by 2:30pm for check in (parking is available in the lot beside Cathedral Kitchen).
o Please do not wear flip flops, open shoes, or high heels for safety reasons. We suggest you wear a short sleeve or long sleeve t-shirt, capris/jeans/ knee length shorts (or something similar), and sneakers.
o Please do not bring backpacks, purses, or personal items as we have no place to store them.
