On January 20, 2020, tens of thousands of people across our country will gather to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through acts of service. At Rutgers-Camden, we will be connecting with organizations across the city of Camden to participate in volunteer projects and hosting several workshops and activities on our campus focused on social justice and advocacy for vulnerable persons.  Our Day of Service gets hundreds of Rutgers students and other participants involved with important work in the Camden community, and we want YOU to be one of them!

In addition to registering for the Day of Service on this page, please complete this form to select your preferred project site.  Although we will do our best to place participants at their preferred site, final placements will be dependent on the needs of our partner organizations.  All participants will also need to sign a waiver of liability for the Day of Service, which can be accessed here.

Special activities are available on our campus for students in grades 1-8; please register for them here.  All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during the Day of Service.

All participants are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and clothing appropriate for winter weather to the Day of Service, as most of our projects will be taking place outdoors.  Buses will be available to transport participants to their project sites; alternatively, you are welcome to use your own means of transportation if you would prefer.

During the Day of Service we will be collecting food items to help stock our Student Health Services food pantry; please consider bringing some non-perishable food with you to support this important initiative.  We will also be collecting new and used books to share with the Camden County Pop-Up Library.
