Want to participate in a study of online social behavior??

Participants are needed during spring semester 2016 for a social behavior research study at Rutgers-Camden.  The study is conducted by Theresa Murzyn, a doctoral student in Rutgers’ Childhood Studies department.  Ms. Murzyn’s study is designed to investigate personality and the language young people use to communicate with each other online via text.  To be eligible to participate, you must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old and comfortable in at both reading and typing in English.

What do I need to do?
Your participation will involve completing a short online questionnaire (which you can do at home) then reporting to a testing room on Rutgers-Camden’s campus for a short session on a separate day.  Completing the online questionnaire that features a writing task will take approximately 20 minutes.  The session at Rutgers-Camden will take approximately 30 minutes.  During the on-campus session, you’ll be asked to fill out several different short questionnaires and engage in two short instant messaging conversations with a fellow participant.

Students who complete both components are eligible to submit their time for 1 Honors-Approved Service Hour. If you have completed your hours for the semester & still wish to participate, you may be compensated $10 for successfully completing all study tasks.

If interested to volunteer as a participant, please contact Ms. Murzyn at tmurzyn@rutgers.edu.
