Our Honors engagement requirement asks students to complete eight total engagement hours, with a minimum of two in both Service and Activities, each semester. All engagement Items must be activities and services explicitly promoted as “Honors Approved”.
All approved activities will be posted to our calendar. All approved services will be found on either our calendar or our list of authorized service sites.
Students seeking approval for any activity or service that is not explicitly promoted as “Honors Approved” *must* secure authorization from a professional staff member of the Honors College in advance of the service opportunity and before submitting for Engagement. Only publicly announced items from established non-profit/service organizations benefiting the campus and/or Camden city community will be considered.
Students will be required to provide evidence for how their proposed service or activity meets the criteria for engagement, as established by our staff. Submissions that have not be pre-authorized by our staff will not be accepted toward that semesters’ engagement submission./p>
Following completion of all service and activities, students are asked to submit the Approved Engagement Completion Form, due within three days of the engagement.
